In The Community
We’ll see you out there!
We are driven to be part of the community, and have based much of our mission on doing just that. From collaborating with local establishments to do “Pups at the Pub” to attending shows and events, we are out there spreading the word about what we do at Finally Farm. These connections are a fundamental way for us to build relationships and reach those who have the greatest need for our gift—a chance at independence and hope a service dog provides.

Our First Recipient: Luca
Daniel met Luca a few years ago when Luca attended preschool at Bright Beginnings, owned and operated by Daniel’s sister. Luca and Daniel hit it off immediately with the commonality they were both born with the exact same defects, Spinabifida and Hydrocephalus—very rare genetic defects. These birth defects can have a wide range of neurological and physical effects on a person, such as loss of use of lower extremities, fluid on the brain, learning disabilities, autism, or incontinence to name a few. Luca’s condition has left him wheel chair bound, while Daniel’s form of the same genetic defects were less physically severe. Daniel and Luca love to fist bump, make funny faces at each other and have belly laughs whenever they get the chance to see each other. Luca will be the very first recipient of a Finally Farm service dog, and we couldn’t be more excited.
